Academic Videography

In engineering class this past quarter, I worked with a teammate on a “Freshman Design Project.” Throughout the quarter (Louisiana Tech University is on the quarter system), we developed an idea for an “innovative product” and then built a fully-functional prototype of our idea to present at the Freshman Design Expo–a science-fair-like event held on May 13th this year. As part of the class, we created this video to describe our project.

For those interested in the technical details of this video, all footage was shot with my Pentax K-x using the camera’s built-in audio (a necessity since I set up my external audio recorder incorrectly during filming), a Yashica 50mm prime lens, a Pentax 55-300mm lens, and a Kiron 28mm lens. I edited the video in Vegas Pro 8.0.
